Fugazy International Travel was originated in l897 and is the oldest travel agency in the United States. The Asheville office was opened in January l974. At that time, it was part of a franchise operation. Diners Club bought the national franchise but soon after dissolved it. Thus there are a number of "Fugazy International Travel" offices across the country but each office is now independently owned and operated. In April l979, Bob and Lucretia Weiler purchased this agency. In l986, David and Leigh Young joined the ownership team.

Fugazy Travel is a full service agency designed and staffed to handle the special requirements of the leisure, the business and the group traveler. We operate the most innovative and modern travel office in this area. Over the the past 25 years, Fugazy Travel has become the leader in the industry in this area.

Fugazy Travel has enjoyed solid growth since its founding. Our employees are dedicated to sound management principles and endeavor to offer the highest caliber of service. Our solid reputation with airlines, cruise and tour companies is one of our most prized assets.

Fugazy Travel's leisure division handles personal cruises, tours and airline tickets. We also operate a separate Corporate Travel Center designed to handle the special needs of the business traveler. Finally, our group division arranges custom incentive packages, convention travel, and special interest tours.

8:30 am - 5:30 pm EST Monday - Friday and
10:00 am - 3:00 pm EST on Saturday.
