• Fugazy International Travel was originated in l897 and is the oldest travel agency in the United States. The Asheville office was opened in January l974. At that time, it was part of a franchise operation. Diners Club bought the national franchise but soon after dissolved it. Thus there are a number of "Fugazy International Travel" offices across the country but each office is now independently owned and operated. In April l979, Bob and Lucretia Weiler purchased this agency. In l986, David and Leigh Young joined the ownership team.
